US urged its citizens to leave Russia immediately, said Antony Blinken, the US Secretary of State, APA reports.
He made this statement in the backdrop of the detention and arrest in Russia of American Evan Gershkovich, an employee of "The Wall Street Journal," on espionage charges.
"We reiterate our grave warnings about the threat to US citizens on Russian territory," Blinken said.
On March 30, the Lefortovo Court of Moscow arrested Gershkovic for two months.
The Kremlin noted that Gershkovich was caught red-handed.
