Four occupants of a Learjet 35A plane died this Friday after it fell to the ground during takeoff maneuvers at the Río Grande airport in Tierra del Fuego, according to the state agency Télam, APA reports citing CNN.
The deceased were members of the Central Fire Station of the Fuegian jurisdiction, a doctor, a nurse and two flight officers.
The aircraft was on a medical flight and had dropped off a patient. During the accident, the crew was preparing to return to the city of Buenos Aires, authorities say.
The Argentine Transportation Safety Board reported that it has already appointed an investigator in charge who will coordinate the tasks to determine the causes of the accident.
