Gazprom: Gas output plunged 20% in 2022

Gazprom PJSC's production dropped by 20% in 2022, with a total amount of gas volumes reaching 412.6 billion cubic meters, while gas exports to non-CIS countries at the end of the year amounted to 100.9 billion cubic meters, the head of the holding, Alexey Miller, said, APA reports citing Teletrader.

In addition, the chief of the Russian energy giant revealed that supplied volumes to China exceeded daily contract quantities last year, while reaching a "fundamentally new level" of volumes on January 1, 2023.

Meanwhile, Gazprom's head previously revealed that the company is considering to create a gas hub in Turkey in an effort to bolster the country's gas supply, and warned that there were no "guarantees" Europe could survive the coming winter with the current levels of natural gas in underground storage.
