Twitter owner Elon Musk announced on Friday that former NBCUniversal head of advertisement Linda Yaccarino will replace him as the CEO of the social media company, thus confirming earlier media reports, APA reports citing Teletrader.
"I am excited to welcome Linda Yaccarino as the new CEO of Twitter! @LindaYacc will focus primarily on business operations, while I focus on product design & new technology. Looking forward to working with Linda to transform this platform into X, the everything app," Musk tweeted.
Earlier, Musk said that the new CEO will take over from him in about six weeks and noted he will become the executive chair and chief technology officer at the company and will oversee product, software and system operations.
