A 17-year-old girl was killed while five more people were injured in a shooting at a party near a Northern California college campus, the police said on Saturday, APA reports citing Teletrader.
Police Chief Billy Aldridge confirmed officers responded to reports of gunfire at an apartment building in the city of Chico, after which the victims were taken to a hospital. There was no ongoing threat to the area, the police confirmed without providing more details about the suspect.
Law enforcement previously arrested a man suspected of brandishing a firearm at the same address following an alleged fight at the earlier party, after which two people were hospitalized.
