The United States, along with Japan and South Korea, intends to curb North Korea, given its missile and nuclear weapons, said Lloyd Austin U.S Secretary of Defense at the annual Shangri-La Dialogue security conference on Monday, APA reports.
"Our national security strategy says there is a constant threat from North Korea. The United States is always ready to prevent aggression and fulfill its treaty obligations."
Austin said the United States is strengthening security cooperation between Japan and the Republic of Korea. Together, we will continue to strengthen deterrence against nuclear weapons and missile systems.
