Pentagon Press Secretary Patrick Ryder confirmed on Tuesday that Russia did not retrieve the United States military drone which collided with Russian Su-27 aircraft over the Black Sea, according to information available to the Department of Defense, APA reports citing Teletrader.
Replying to a journalist's question regarding potential sensitive military technology contained within the drone, Ryder stated that Moscow has not recovered the aircraft "to his knowledge at this point in time."
He declined to comment on potential recovery efforts by Washington, saying that the incident is undergoing a declassification process. Russia has previously denied its fighter jets coming into contact with the military drone.
