Magnitude 5.3 earthquake jolted Argentina, said the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center on the website, APA reports.
The epicenter was reported 92 km south of Mendoza, a city of about 1 million people.
The quake was located at a depth of 118 kilometers.
No tsunami alert was issued.
