Former United States President Donald Trump showed on Friday, on his Truth Social platform, support for billionaire Elon Musk's recent takeover of Twitter Inc., writing that the social media platform is now "in sane hands.", APA reports citing Teletrader.
"I am very happy that Twitter is now in sane hands, and will no longer be run by Radical Left Lunatics and Maniacs that truly hate our country," Trump shared. He also said that "Twitter must now work hard to rid itself of all of the bots and fake accounts that have hurt it so badly."
Previously, Musk stated that he bought Twitter in order to "help humanity" and give it a "common digital town square" where opinions can be shared "in a healthy manner."
