Twitter's gold checkmark indicates that the account represents an official business account through Twitter Verification for Organizations, per the social media giant.
Citing the platform's internal messages, the report claimed that brands will have to pay $50 per month for each affiliated account. However, the publication noted the decision is still being finalized, and could change.
