Twitter reportedly cuts more jobs over weekend

Twitter Inc. has introduced more layoffs during the weekend, APA reports citing the Wall Street Journal.

A source told the publication they received an e-mail on Saturday that read simply that "[t]oday is your last working day at the company." The number of employees who received such notice remains unknown at the moment.

Back in November, Twitter Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Elon Musk said the company will need to start reducing its staff as it is losing $4 million a day. Later in December, the billionaire said Twitter had slightly more than 2,000 employees at the time in comparison to about 8,000 it had before his takeover.
