Twitter currently operates with fewer than 550 full-time engineers, while it has laid off about 80% of its employees since Elon Musk took over, CNBC informed Friday, citing internal documents from the company, APA reports.
According to the report, the firm's trust and safety team, dedicated to making policy recommendations with the goal of keeping all Twitter users safe, has shrunk to fewer than 20 full-time employees.
The news comes after The Information claimed recently that Twitter's revenue fell as much as 35% in the last quarter of 2022, landing below market estimates.
