The UN General Assembly is expected to vote next week on the draft resolution requiring the General Assembly to meet each time when a permanent member of the UN Security Council exercises its veto power; the vote may take place on April 26, Liechtenstein’s Permanent Representative to the UN Christian Wenaweser told reporters on Wednesday, APA reports citing TASS.
Wenaweser said he was "hoping to get to see this text <…> in the course of next week in in the [General] Assembly. We are checking with the office of the president for a final date that will be communicated. Once it is firmed up. We are hoping to see a decision on this tomorrow morning."
According to the diplomat, the vote could take place on April 26.
