United States Ministry of Defense Spokesman John Kirby said the US is closer to reviving the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) than it was two weeks ago, APA reports citing Teletrader.
"We are certainly closer today than we were about two weeks ago thanks to Iran being willing to concede on a couple of major issues," Kirby stated.
The efforts to rebuild the nuclear agreement come after Tehran in 2020 took a step back in its commitment to the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), following the US attack against Iranian General Qassem Soleimani.
