US to give $1B more in weapons to Kyiv

The United States Department of Defense on Monday unveiled a new $1 billion weapons package for Ukraine, APA reports citing Teletrader.

It will include more ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), 75,000 rounds of 155mm artillery ammunition, munitions for National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems (NASAMS), as well as 1,000 Javelin and "hundreds of AT4 anti-armor systems."

Including today's package, the US has committed to deliver $9.8 billion worth of military equipment to Ukraine since US President Joe Biden took over the White House in January 2021, the Pentagon specified.
