The United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said on Thursday that a ground stop was issued at the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport as a result of "drone activity" near the runway, APA reports citing Teletrader.

The airport staff noted that all arrivals and departures were suspended and the FAA stressed that incoming flights are likely to experience delays of approximately two hours and departures are expected to be delayed by at least half an hour. Meanwhile, two arriving flights have already bewen diverted to Dulles International Airport.
