Warner Bros. Discovery is considering selling its music library, which could garner more than $1 billion in profit for the company, APA reports citing the Financial Times.
According to one of the sources, Warner Bros. has been exploring such a move in an effort to try and take advantage of the currently popular market for music copyrights. Another individual commented that the motion is still in the early stages.
The creation of the music division dates back to the 1950s. In 2004, the division was sold, however, the company kept its copyrights to a hefty number of songs.
