8th congress of Azerbaijani Composers’ Union ends today

Ramiz Mirishli and Marat Hagverdiyev’s operetta “Gisganj urekler” (Jealous hearts) was demonstrated in Azerbaijan State Musical Comedy Theatre in the framework of the 8th congress of Azerbaijani Composers’ Union (ACU) on June 15, APA reports.
The last concert of the congress to be end today will be held in Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Society named after Muslum Magomayev. State Symphonic Orchestra will sound Sardar Farajov’s “Shah Khatai” symphony and Ilyas Mirzayev’s “Uc deniz” (Three sea) symphony. Yashar Imanov’s “Vals Kapriccio”, Jalal Abbasov’s symphony #4 “If I can see you again”, Aydin Azimov’s “Canaggala-1915”, Ilyas Mirzayev’s “Uc deniz” symphony and other plays will be performed in the closed ceremony.
The 8th congress of Azerbaijani Composers’ Union started on June 11 is held after 17-year break. This is the first congress of ACU in the independence period. Chairman of Azerbaijani Composers’ Union will be elected on June 20. Secret ballot will be held in Azerbaijan State Philharmony. /APA/
