“This is a very dangerous and tragic situation. Our people don’t understand it, they walk in streets and in the open air, go out to boulevard, they still don’t perceive the scale of the calamity that we are facing now”, said the National artist of Azerbaijan, rector of Baku Music Academy Farhad Badalbeyli in his statement to APA.
F. Badalbeyli stressed that his daughter and son-in-law returning from the USA are currently in quarantine: “I made no effort to insure them against being taken under quarantine. Let them stay under quarantine as much as necessary. No acquaintance and indulgence has bite in this matter. Everything that is necessary should be done, there is no other way of doing it”.
The rector also provided information on the project developed by him at the Baku Music Academy in the framework of fight against coronavirus: “The students, professors, graduates and post-graduate students of our Academy – each of them perform a piece of music at home and upload that musical composition on the website of the Baku Music Academy. We also try to help our people in the current quarantine days at least by presenting them our music.
