Film about Khojaly won success in international festivals

The short-length film entitled as “26.02.92”, produced by the Azerbaijan Television and dedicated to Khojaly tragedy has been awarded with prizes in a number of prestigious international festivals, APA reports.

This screen work has won success in such nominations as "The best performer of the main role", "Art director’s work", "Makeup", "The best film about woman", etc.

This film conferred high appraisal in several nominations in Turkey, as well as in the Crown Wood international film festival in India, is also expected to win prestigious prizes in the USA and the European countries. The list of such festivals also include the Andromeda festival and the festival of Hollywood’s independent cinematographers.

According to the director of the film Elvin Ahmadoglu, the participation in such festivals in addition to promoting Azerbaijan on the international arena from different angle, also has great significance from the viewpoint of delivery of true information about the Armenian atrocities and lies.

Meanwhile, the performer of the main role Munavvar Aliyeva said the technical and creative staff of the film was perfect, and she derived great pleasure from working with this team. The actress stresses that the character created by her in this film produced by the Azerbaijan Television and demonstrated in the Armenian language as well, is close to her inner world, her relatives became internally displaced people during Garabagh conflict, and she felt deeply the pain of Khojaly tragedy. She evaluated this film as the outcome of joint efforts of the people highly appreciating the fine arts, and she said the won prizes are just the result of those efforts.

Note that the script writer and the director of the “26.02.92” film is Elvin Ahmadoglu, the art director - Faridbey Kerimov, the makeup artist - Eldar Israfilov, the film editor - Ahmad Gasimov, the visual graphics specialist - Rovshan Abiyev, the assistant director - Novruz Mammadov, the executive producer - Zamig Alovsatoglu, and the project manager - Ranar Musayev.
