Participating in the Lazgi International Dance Festival in Khiva, Uzbekistan, the Fikret Amirov State Song and Dance Ensemble took part in a gala concert on April 29 and won second place among about 200 dancers from 30 countries, APA reports.
The mysterious dances of the ensemble's soloists, honored artists Elnur Suleymanov, Nigar Shahmuradova, Victoria Shahmuradova and Gunel Sheykhova, as well as collective performances were welcomed by the audience and the jury.
Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Ahmadovich Nazarbekov met with Azerbaijani artists and congratulated them on their success.
In turn, the director of the ensemble, on behalf of the ensemble, presented the Uzbek State Dance Ensemble "Bakhor" with a national women's dance costume.
The team was headed by honored cultural worker Elchin Abbasov.
The ballet master is honored artist Jeyhun Gubadov.
