Statue of Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev expected to be erected during 2 months in Baku

A statue of Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev is ready, said the author of the monument Khanlar Ahmadov, APA reports.

He noted that the statue is ready for a year and a half, but the erection was delayed due to pandemics and other reasons.

K. Ahmadov noted that the statue is expected to be erected next to Icherisheher metro- at the appointed place for 2 months.

Note that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministry of Culture, and the Baku City Executive Power held an open sculpture competition regarding the preparation of the statue of Z. Tagiyev. Khanlar Ahmadov's work won the competition out of 26 works submitted to the competition, which was attended by well-known artists, young artists, sculptors, and foreign authors.
