Ten civilians were killed and six others wounded in a roadside bomb explosion in Afghanistan's eastern Ghazni province on Friday, an Interior Ministry official confirmed, APA reports citing Xinhua.

"A minibus carload of civilians running along a dusty road between Jaghato and Dih Yak districts in Ghazni touched off a pressure-plate improvised explosive device (IED), leading to an explosion roughly at 10:30 a.m. local time," Deputy Spokesperson said.

Four women and one child were among the killed and provincial official were trying to notify relatives of the victims, Deputy Spokesperson said.

Three women were among the wounded, Deputy Spokesperson added.
