After the Trump administration announced its new strategy to restore American nuclear energy leadership, China said on Friday it rejects Washington's accusations in the new report, APA reports citing Tele Trader.
"Beijing strongly opposes such erroneous politicization of nuclear energy cooperation and refuses to accept the fictitious accusations against China mentioned in this report," Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said at a briefing.
Geng added that the US report accuses Russia and China of not adhering to the standards of the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons in their nuclear energy cooperation like the US, which Beijing dismissed as "absolutely false."
