China is planning to perform 11 space launch missions in the next two years, China's first person in space Yang Liwei said on Saturday, according to CGTN. The country will also send a total of 12 astronauts into space, APA reports citing Teletrader.

The announcement came after China launched a successful lunar probe called Chang'-e 5. The mission served as a foundation for a manned Moon landing, the National Space Administration said.
