Daily COVID-19 cases in India lowest since June 23

The number of people who tested positive for the coronavirus disease in India since the last update was released landed at 16,375, according to the data provided by the nation's Health and Family Welfare Ministry, APA reports citing Teletrader.

The figure brings the total number of cases in the country to 10,356,844 and marks India's lowest daily jump in COVID-19 cases since June 23, when health officials confirmed 15,968 new infections.

The number of deaths attributed to the virus rose by 201 over the past day to land at 149,850, while cumulative recoveries reached 9,975,958, rising by 29,091 during the twenty-four-hour time.
