The number of coronavirus infections in India rose by 57,118 on Saturday, marking a record high second day in a row, the Health and Family Welfare Ministry said, APA reports citing Tele Trader.
During the same 24-hour period, the number of fatalities increased by 764, bringing the country's COVID-19 death toll to 36,511.
The number of people who have gotten infected since the start of the pandemic landed at 1,695,988, while 1,094,374 have managed to successfully recover.
