The Ministry of Health of Iran has announced that the fourth wave of coronavirus has started in Iran, APA’s Tehran bureau reports.

Iranian Deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi called on the government to issue a two-week closure decision across the country, except in necessary areas.

He noted that 85 percent of all provincial centers and cities of the country have been considered “red” and “orange” due to classification of coronavirus threat.

The Deputy Minister noted that if this warning is not followed, the daily death toll may exceed 600.
