An Iranian health official said Friday that the World Health Organization (WHO) has sent equipment to Iran to detect suspects with COVID-19 infection, APA reports citing Xinhua.

Kianush Jahanpur, head of Public Relations and Information Center of Ministry of Health and Medical Education, said that "the fourth set of special kits to detect suspects with COVID-19 infection was sent to Iran by the WHO representative to the Islamic republic on Friday."

"Christoph Hamelmann, the representative of the WHO to Iran, has imported the items from Dubai of the United Arab Emirates to Iran," Jahanpur tweeted.

He said that the items were delivered to Iran's Pasteur Institute located in capital Tehran.
