Kazakhstan expects new wave of coronavirus in October

A new wave of coronavirus infection is expected in Kazakhstan in October with start of flu and acute respiratory viral infections season, Health Minister of Kazakhstan Alexey Tsoy said, APA reports citing AKIPress.

"Coronavirus pandemic has not ended. We should be prepared for possible new wave, which is expected together with flu and respiratory viral infections season in October. The Ministry of Health is prearing for the upcoming cold season," Minister Tsoy said on Facebook.

Healthcare organizations are supplied with one-month stock of medicines, he said.

"More than 10 million packs of medicines were supplied to pharmacies. One distributor provided healthcare organizations with one-month stock of medicines. Two-month stock will be formed for 24 billion tenge before September 30," the Minister said.
