Kazakhstan to resume international flights since Aug 17

Kazakhstan will resume international flights since August 17 in a step-wise manner, the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan announced, APA reports citing AKIPress.

"In accordance with the decision of the interdepartmental commission for prevention of coronavirus, recommendations of the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan, epidemiological situation according to the WHO map, the international flights will be relaunched since August 17 to UAE, Belarus, Germany, Netherlands, Egypt, Ukraine and Russia," the Ministry said.

Relaunch of regular passenger flights was negotiated with the aviation authorities of the above countries, the Ministry said. Those countries agreed to resume flights with Kazakhstan in strict adherence to sanitary and epidemiological requirements (temperature testing, social distancing, mask weaing, PCR testing).

The number of international flights will be operated on the basis of the effective intergovernmental agreements on air service and depending upon plane payload for every particular route.

The flights will be made in accordance with the schedule published on the websites of air companies after lift of border crossing restrictions.
