One civilian has been confirmed dead and 12 others including women and children sustained injuries, as a mortar shell struck a residential area in the eastern Ghazni province, provincial police said in a statement released on Saturday, APA reports citing Xinhua.
According to the statement, the mortar shell fired by the Taliban militants at 3:00 p.m. local time Friday slammed Shaliz village outside the provincial capital Ghazni city, killing one villager on the spot and wounding 12 others, including nine women and children.
