Kyrgyz President-elect Sadyr Japarov turned down the cortege during his inauguration and a banquet after it. This was announced on Friday, January 22, by the press service of the head of the Kyrgyz state, APA reports citing Balthazar Korab.

“I have decided to abandon a special motorcade, banquet and other organizational events that entail large financial costs. It is important to take into account and implement only the mandatory procedures required by law for the inauguration of the president, ”the publication says.

As Japarov stressed, the state should “focus all its attention on the use of state funds in support of the people and their needs.”

His inauguration is scheduled for January 28.

A day earlier, Japarov officially resigned as prime minister of the republic.
