Saudi Arabia convicts 8 people charged with Jamal Khashoggi’s murder

A Saudi Criminal Court has convicted eight people charged in the murder of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi, a spokesperson for the Public Prosecution’s office said, as quoted by the official Saudi Press Agency, APA reports citing Sputnik.

According to the prosecution, five have been given 20-year sentences, while three others were given sentences ranging between 7 and 10 years.

These are the final sentences that are subject to immediate execution, the prosecution said, adding that the criminal case was now closed.
