Indian health authorities reported that the country has, as of Tuesday, seen six cases of the new strain of coronavirus, APA reports citing Teletrader.

The people confirmed with the new virus variant, which is believed to be more transmittable, are kept in single-room isolation in designated facilities.

The mutant virus strain was first seen in the United Kingdom, prompting several nations to restrict travel with the country or ban arrivals from the UK altogether.
