Uzbekistan to reopen borders since Oct 1

Uzbekistan lifts restrictions for international tourism since October 1. Arriving tourist groups will not be quarantined, according to the decision of the national commission, APA reports citing AKIPress.

Travel agencies bringing foreign tourists to Uzbekistan will be able to organize tours for 5 and no more than 15 people in a group. These groups will not be quarantined for 14 days.

Foreign tourists should have health insurance and medical certificate proving negative PCR test results for COVID-19.

Uzbekistan will reopen all air, railway and road border crossing points since October 1.

The government will hold talks with foreign countries on increase of flights, train and bus routes.

Those entering Uzbekistan through the border crossing points with Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan will be quarantined for 14 days at home in case they have medical certificate with negative test results for COVID-19. Otherwise, they will be tested for COVID-19 when crossing into Uzbekistan.

Those arriving from green zone countries (China, Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea, Georgia, Hungary, Finland, Latvia, Austria, Japan) will be allowed to enter Uzbekistan without any restrictions.

Those allowing from yellow zone countries (Azerbaijan, Belarus, UAE, EU countries (except for Spain)) and red zone countries (the rest countries) will be allowed to enter Uzbekistan only with medical certificate with negative COVID-19 test results for the last 72 hours.They will be quarantined for 14 days upon arrival.

Those having no such medical certificate will not be registered for the flight bound to Uzbekistan.
