“We have proved with documents that the resolution passed by United States House of Representatives on the so-called “Armenian genocide” is unfair,” Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said during the speech of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) at a group meeting in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (Parliament), APA reports citing NTV.
Turkish president said that the House of Representatives' decision was contrary to reality.
Erdogan also recalled that the US Senate blocked a resolution on the so-called "Armenian genocide" after a meeting with him.
Earlier, the House of Representatives passed a resolution recognizing the so-called Armenian genocide, with lawmakers voting 405-11.
