At least 10 people were killed and eight others injured as a slew of tornadoes swept through Suqian and Yancheng in east China's Jiangsu Province on Tuesday, according to local authorities, APA reports citing CGTN.
In Suqian, about 5,512 people were affected, and 137 homes collapsed due to the tornado on Tuesday afternoon. While in Funing County of Yancheng City, 1,364 people were affected, and over 100 people were relocated during Tuesday night's tornado.
Heavy rains and strong winds have affected the above regions, said local meteorological observatories.
