An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 struck off the coast of Taiwan, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (ESMC) said on Wednesday, APA reports citing Teletrader.
According to the ESMC data, the quake's epicenter was registered at a depth of 20 kilometers, at 12:54 am local time. The tremor shook the region located 115 km east of Taichung, home to 2.8 million residents, and 28 kilometers southeast of Hualien City.
