First Pakistani Feature Film Released in Baku

On 2nd June, a Pakistani feature film Dum Mastam was released in Cinema Plus theaters of Ganjlik Mall, Deniz Mall, and 28 May Mall. The premiere of the movie was screened at Ganjlik Mall where a large number of Azerbaijani people from different walks of life joined. Ms. Ganira Pashayeva, Chair of Azerbaijan Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship Group was the chief guest on the occasion, the Embassy of Pakistan in Baku told APA.

Speaking to the media, Ambassador Bilal Hayee noted that Films and Drama serials in Pakistan were a powerful medium of entertainment and social education. The first-ever screening of a Pakistani commercial film in the brotherly country of Azerbaijan was a positive step towards stronger cultural cooperation and people-to-people contacts. Ambassador Hayee expressed the hope that with the screening of this feature film, a new era of cultural cooperation will begin and more Pakistani movies and drama serials will be brought for the entertainment of the people of Azerbaijan. The Embassy of Pakistan will be ready to facilitate coordination between the media and film industries of Pakistan and Azerbaijan, Ambassador remarked.

Ms. Ganira Pashayeva also spoke on the occasion and lauded the efforts of the Embassy of Pakistan in strengthening cultural cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
