Former Iranian President Mohammed Hatami has warned the Tehran government against continuing to suppress the protests that have been going on for about three months, APA reports citing Hungary Postsen.
Security cannot be an excuse to suppress freedom
Hatami was quoted by the daily Sarg.
According to the former head of state, the demands of the protesters must be taken seriously, because they are protesting for a better future with the slogan “woman, life, freedom”. Hatami called on the Iranian leadership to lend a hand to the demonstrators before it is too late.
