975 female prisoners have been released or benefited from other legal privileges, said Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei, Chief Justice of Iran, APA’s Tehran bureau reports.
According to Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei, on the occasion of the birth of Hazrat Fatima, the daughter of Prophet Muhammad, 6 000 women in prison were also given leave.
Chief Justice of Iran also stressed that 502 prisoners were released in 15 provinces of the country. In the case of more than 4 thousand prisoners, various concessions were applied.
Chief Justice of Iran also highlighted that more than 4,000 prisoners were released in the last month.
