Iranian Air Force unveiled a new reconnaissance drone

The Iranian Air Force has unveiled the Shahab training unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) for the first time, the Mehr news agency reported today, September 28, APA's Tehran bureau reports.

As part of the Holy Defense Week, at the Eqtedar (Strength) exhibition, which presents all types of manned and unmanned aerial vehicles of the Islamic Republic Air Force, a Shahab training drone was presented, which can be used for surveillance purposes.

The reconnaissance drone is capable of being at an altitude of 3350 m for 8 hours. The UAV flight radius is 10 km and can be extended up to 200 km for reconnaissance missions.

The week of sacred defense began in Iran on September 22 and is timed to coincide with the anniversary of the start of the Iran-Iraq war of 1980-1988. Traditionally, these days, events are held in Iran to demonstrate the country’s military potential, and representatives of the Iranian Armed Forces report on the implementation of defense projects.
