Iranian FM told UN Secretary-General: Tehran did not send UAVs to Russia

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian held a phone conversation with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, said the Islamic Republic of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs "Telegram" channel, APA reports.

The sides exchanged views on the situation in Ukraine and negotiations on the renewal of the nuclear agreement with Tehran.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian spoke about the technical dialogue between the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency and called the cooperation of the parties appropriate.

Furthermore, Abdullahian informed the UN Secretary-General on the exchange of information between Iran and the US on the sidelines of the Vienna negotiations on the restoration of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on Iran's nuclear program.

Iran's foreign minister emphasized once again that Tehran did not send drones to Russia for use during military operations in Ukraine.

In addition, the head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry criticized the positions and actions of a number of Western countries regarding the protests in his country.
