The visit of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Israel could take place, the Turkish leader said in response to Turkish journalists' questions while returning from New York, APA's Istanbul correspondent reports.
He noted that during his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in New York, they discussed cooperation issues in the energy sector.
"We discussed the benefits of establishing a mechanism with the participation of our ministers to enhance cooperation in various fields between our two countries. We will commence drilling with Israel (in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea - ed.). We will start the operation of energy (natural gas - ed.) transmission lines not only to Türkiye, but also from Türkiye to Europe."
