Pakistan hosted a seminar entitled "January 20, 1990 - a bloody and glorious page of the Azerbaijani history" dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of January 20 martyrs in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Pakistan, SZABIST University, and the Institute of Regional Studies, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Pakistan told APA.
The seminar was attended by university administration and students, embassy staff, the Pakistani public, and media representatives.
After performing the national anthems of both countries, the memory of the martyrs of January 20 was commemorated with a minute of silence.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Khazar Farhadov said that January 20 was a symbol of the struggle of the Azerbaijani people for sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.
