The sharp rise in prices for meat and fish products in Iran has increased the consumption of pasta, APA's Tehran bureau reports citing Iranian Statistical Center.

Rising meat and fish prices in Iran over the past decade have boosted pasta consumption among low-income families.

This figure will decrease by 54 percent in 2021 to 6 kilograms per Iranian. In 2011, the consumption of fish products for every Iranian was 4 kilograms per year, but in 2021 this figure decreased by 50 percent to 2 kilograms.
