Shanghai reports new asymptomatic COVID cases

Authorities in Shanghai reported fourteen new domestically transmitted asymptomatic coronavirus cases, as well as three new local confirmed cases of coronary pneumonia, with all patients quarantined while the numbers of COVID-19 positive cases continue to rise in the country, APA reports citing Teletrader.

Shanghai reported zero COVID-19-related deaths on July 17, the same as the day before.

Meanwhile, seven areas in Shanghai have been identified as high-risk areas for the epidemic by the city's Leading Group Office for New Coronary Pneumonia Epidemic Prevention and Control.

Previously, the number of positive coronavirus cases hit the highest figure since May 23, with the situation in Shanghai remaining "relatively severe," according to the authorities.
