Taiwan's Ministry of Defense announced on Friday that it has noticed renewed Chinese military activity around the island, APA reports.
According to the ministry, 22 Chinese aircraft, including fighters, bombers, early warning aircraft and drones, were detected. Out of the mentioned number, 13 entered Taiwan's "response" zone, the ministry added.
Two days ago the United States Department of State revealed that it approved the sale of fighter aircraft equipment to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the US worth $500 million.
