Taliban Foreign Minister meets Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister in Tashkent

According to a statement of the Taliban’s Foreign Ministry released on July 30th, in addition to the Tashkent Conference on Afghanistan, the Taliban Foreign Minister visited the Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister, discussing the economic situation in Afghanistan, APA reports citing Khaama.

As well as discussing transit, agricultural cooperation, and the beginning of work on the railway connecting Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, the bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan were also discussed.

According to the statement, the Uzbek side also pledged to assist Afghanistan in developing its agricultural sector.

The Taliban’s Minister of Finance, Mullah Hedayatullah Badri, and Afghanistan’s Central Bank Deputy, Noor Ahmad Agha, also attended this meeting, which took place on the sixth day of the Taliban delegation’s visit to Tashkent.
